School libraries and their impact

The School Library Association of New Zealand Aotearoa Te Puna Whare Mātauranga a Kura (SLANZA) and the National Library of New Zealand Te Puna Mātauranga o Aotearoa (National Library) have asked NZCER to do some research about school libraries. They want to develop a national picture of services currently offered by school libraries and an evidence base about the value and impact of these services.

There are two parts to this study which is being conducted over 2024.

  1. A survey of schools about their library
  2. Case studies of school libraries.
